Description
Service New Brunswick requires a Clinical User Experience and Endpoint Lead to support the province-wide implementation of a unified Clinical Information System (CIS). This role ensures optimal deployment of endpoint devices (PCs, thin clients, tablets, printers, etc.) to enhance clinical workflows and user adoption in healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will bridge clinical needs with technical solutions, focusing on usability, ergonomics, and seamless integration into patient care environments. Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Workflow Analysis: Lead workshops to document and optimize device placement in clinical settings
User-Centered Design: Ensure endpoint solutions are intuitive and minimize disruption to patient care
Technical Alignment: Collaborate with IT teams to configure devices meeting clinical requirements
Device Strategy: Define standards for hardware selection, deployment, and lifecycle management
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as primary liaison between clinicians, IT staff, and project leadership
Adoption Planning: Develop testing protocols, training programs, and feedback mechanisms
Support Framework: Establish clear maintenance and escalation procedures for endpoint devices Mandatory Requirements Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (equivalent experience accepted) Professional Experience
5+ years in health IT with focus on clinical information systems
Proven leadership on major hospital CIS implementations
Direct experience working with clinicians on workflow analysis and requirements gathering Technical Skills
Expertise in endpoint technologies (thin clients, mobile devices, virtual desktops)
Strong knowledge of healthcare IT standards and best practices
