Position Description

The Clinical Research Project Coordinator will manage ongoing and new research projects, ensuring efficient execution, compliance, and collaboration across teams. This role integrates project management, clinical research coordination, and administrative oversight to support studies, grant applications, and academic publications. The position involves direct interaction with research participants, regulatory bodies, and institutional partners.

Here's what you'll get to do:



Project & Research Assistance



Oversee

project timelines, deliverables, and compliance

with research ethics (REB, ACC). Manage

OneDrive, EndNote

, and other digital repositories. Prepare and submit

REB applications, amendments, and renewals

in accordance with institutional requirements. Lead preparation of materials for

granting agencies and regulatory bodies

. Coordinate

grant applications, funding opportunities, and reporting deadlines

. Prepare

manuscripts, case reports, and systematic reviews

. Conduct

literature searches

and maintain research databases. Assist with

data monitoring, interpretation, and analysis

. Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure adherence to

study protocols, institutional requirements, and regulatory obligations

.

Clinical Research & Data Collection



Coordinate research in

machine learning,

3D printing, optical modeling and bioengineering in ophthalmology

. Develop, implement and maintain

research databases

. Retrieve, merge, and verify

data from various sources, such as medical images and pathology slides

. Screen

patients and participants

for study eligibility. Identify and recruit

study participants

. Obtain

informed consent

from participants. Coordinate

study visits

, collect research data, and manage

questionnaires and case report forms

.

Grants & Financial Management



Coordinate and prepare

grant submission, award processing, and final reporting

. Manage

account reconciliation, payroll, invoices, and expense reports

.

Personnel & HR Support



Facilitate

research personnel

activities and onboarding. Recruit, train and provide support to

volunteers, undergraduate students, and new research staff

. Oversee with

student and volunteer onboarding, contract facilitation, and system access

. Manage

lab organization

, including workspaces and equipment. Plan and schedule

meetings, workshops, and recruitment sessions

. Coordinate

industry partnerships

and research collaborations.

Administrative & Compliance Support



Handle

email correspondence, calendar schedules

and

institutional communications

. Draft, format and prepare

documents

,

reports

and presentations for various audiences. Assist with negotiating

contracts and agreements

. Oversee procurement of lab

equipment and materials

. Maintain compliance with

study protocols, regulatory frameworks, and institutional guidelines

.

Here's what you'll need:



Master's degree in a relevant field. At least 4 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with

medical imaging, 3D modeling, and optical research

. Bioengineering background preferred, with skills in

3D Prototyping

, including experience with software platforms such as

Solidworks, Python and R.

Strong computer skills,

familiarity with REDCap is an asset

Machine learning experience preferred,

with applying machine learning techniques to clinical research data for analysis, predictive modeling, or automated data processing.

Strong project management skills including

excellent organization, effective team leadership, clear communication, and proactive risk management.

Proficient in TCPS-2, GCP, Health Canada Division 5, CCAC guidelines.

Experience

collecting data, creating and maintaining databases

, analyzing data and interpreting results.

Robust financial acumen

including the ability to establish and monitor budgets, reconcile expenses and complete institutional documentation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

to coordinate with teams, institutions, and industry partners. Experience in

literature reviews, manuscript writing, and academic publishing

. Excellent Microsoft

Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and EndNote

skills. Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives

Employment Type:
