About Our Opportunity

Reporting to the SEAscape Manager of Planning and Accountability of Seniors and Long-Term Care, the Clinical RAI Specialist, Program Administration Officer 3 is a key contributor to Home Care and Long Term Care client-centered best practice by providing support services which promote clinical health practice through integration of electronic resident assessment instruments.

Primary Accountabilities

  • As a subject matter expert in the RAI assessment instruments and their use, the Program Administration Officer 3/Clinical RAI Specialist significantly influences the on-going development and enhancement of the SEAscape (Single Entry Access Simultaneous Client Assessment Placement & Evaluation) application and the interRAI-LTCF and ensures the application processes align with provincial operational requirements.
  • The Program Administration Officer 3 promotes the use of computer technology and data quality to effectively manage client information for individual care planning and for overall business decision support.
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team the Program Administration Officer 3 plans, develops and delivers training, interpretation and ongoing support for the RAI assessment tool, care planning and clinical documentation.
  • This position is a resource, coach and facilitator to Continuing Care staff and Long Term Facility staff on issues related to the use of the RAI suite of assessment tools.
Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's Degree in a health/social science discipline plus five years related experience is required; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years in health care is required, a continuing care setting preferred. A Bachelor's or graduate degree in adult education would be a definite asset. Must be currently registered, or eligible for registration with applicable professional association.

In addition:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of client centered care and expertise in health case management and clinical health assessment is essential. Experience with the resident assessment instrument (RAI).
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint and Outlook (or similar) are essential; Excel, Access and Visio would be assets.
  • An analytical thinker, good communicator and able to work well in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills will be pivotal in this role as you will need to maintain and forge stakeholder relationships. In addition, effective time management skills will be required. Demonstrated skills in planning, business writing, developing presentations, training, and group facilitation. Must have a positive attitude to changes in business practices and processes.
Travel and a valid driver's license is required.

Pay Grade: PR 13

Salary Range: $2,469.30 - $3,001.65 Bi-Weekly
