Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a office clinic environment, utilizing their clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Hours will Be Monday 8:30-4:30 and Thursday 9-4.

Duties

Greet patients and prepare them for their visit by obtaining their medical history, current symptoms, and other relevant health information. Update and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Measure and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight, and oxygen levels. Assist patients in positioning and preparing for examinations or procedures. Assist physicians during medical procedures such as administering vaccines, taking swabs, and performing pap smears. Prepare and manage medical instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment. Provide patients with information on aftercare, including instructions for vaccinations or follow-up care after procedures. Answer questions about medications, procedures, and preventive care. Document patient vitals, test results, and other necessary information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR - PSSuite). Ensure proper documentation and communication with the medical team regarding patient care. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization protocols in treatment rooms and with medical equipment. Adhere to safety standards and infection control guidelines to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

Current nursing license (RPN or RN) in Ontario. Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred. Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs and other basic clinical assessments. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 15 per week
