Yorktown Family Services is looking for a Manager to oversee and implement Estimated Time of Arrival (E.T.A.); a mobile integrated care, behavioral health model that provides direct service intervention and prevention for people involved with targeted violence across Ontario. The model involves numerous evidence based and informed practices to divert people away from violent extremism.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of therapists, engagement and intervention staff and provide clinical supervision support.
Manage therapists within the core services programs and Justice Centre
Develop and sustain stakeholder relationships with local, provincial and national groups including law enforcement and various federal agencies.
Oversee program deliverables and targets.
Present at local, provincial, national and international conferences.
Support the oversight of online to offline intervention initiatives.
Lead the implementation of a program evaluation plan.
Keep up to date on emerging trends and latest developments related to the field of targeted violence intervention and prevention.
Oversee and support reintegration strategies/plans for program participants.
Complete annual performance appraisals and performance management
Provide on-call support as part of a wider schedule
Oversee the implementation of accreditation standards and policies that are relevant to the program and wider organization
Manage budget requests
Led and or co-led program development including; proposal writing, participate in media relations and other forms of public relations
Qualifications
Masters in Counselling Psychology or Social Work with a specialty in the area of Criminology or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of direct management experience or senior frontline role with experience in the area of youth/adult justice
Experience working in the area of forensic social health care, gang intervention, reintegration programs, and experience managing teams hosted over large geographic areas.
A good understanding of geopolitics and the impact on current trends that influence people toward groups that promote acts of violence.
A good understanding of the social and mental health risk that leave people vulnerable to potentially committing acts of violence.
A strong understanding of trauma, PTSD, and the impacts of prolonged violence exposure on people.
Able to identify vicarious trauma in staff and able to direct in the right direction for support.
Enthusiasm and skill working to support change with a multi-challenged, diverse client population.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report and grant writing and exceptional presentation skills.
Has demonstrated the ability to manage sensitive information and develop communication strategies to message according to alignment with risk level or opportunity.
Is able to identify risk to people and the organization; and provide the appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Is confident communicating with the Director of Service/Executive Director and law enforcement agencies regarding potential issues of risk
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekend may be essential.
Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
Access to a reliable vehicle is a definite asset.
