Your Opportunity:Alberta Health Services is currently looking to add a Clinical Informatics Lead to the Connect Care, Clinical Operations team to support its design, readiness, implementation and/or training programs and work streams for Addiction and Mental Health (AMH). Connect Care is a transformative provincial health care program that looks to integrate over 1300 independent systems across Alberta into one platform that will enhance patient quality care as we know it. Reporting to a Clinical Operations Leader, the CIL will provide ongoing leadership and stakeholder relationship engagement between individuals, departments, sites, and programs for the design, workflow development, implementation, and optimization of Connect Care. There is flexibility as to the location of this position within the Province of Alberta and candidates from across the province are encouraged to apply. Out-of-country travel may be required for training purposes.Description:The Clinical Informatics Lead (CIL) will manage and lead complex initiatives within Connect Care\'s design, workflow development, implementation, and optimization. The CIL will need advanced clinical experience and exceptional communication skills to understand the diverse needs of the various stakeholders. The CIL will focus on specialty and program areas within Addiction & Mental Health (AMH) and/or other areas as assigned. The CIL will be responsible for managing functions associated with clinical informatics including assessing and defining high-impact clinical workflows & design and working with the clinical communities to encourage Connect Care\'s adoption and optimization and use for improved clinical outcomes. It is critical that the Lead can navigate complex situations and resolve politically sensitive issues, which may result in high impact to the organization. Ability to manage expectations and find equitable solutions with competing demands between various stakeholders, while aligning with Connect Care processes and standards. The CIL may take a coordinating and leading role in engaging with stakeholders to understand current workflows and translate workflows that align with Connect Care standards and principles. This role requires someone with superlative clinical informatics knowledge and experience, strong leadership, and communication skills. Connect Care\'s requirements span the organization, as well as several external stakeholders, including Government of Alberta, academic institutions, physician and other clinician groups, associations such as the Alberta Medical Association, College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta, etc.
