The position has an anticipated start date of March 1, 2025. The appointment will be for a 3-year, Term-12 contract, with the opportunity for renewal under the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) Agreement.DutiesThe responsibilities during the academic year are primarily focused on didactic and clinical teaching with an expectation to develop as a scholarly teacher.Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants will have a Certificate in Dental Assisting from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• All applicants must be registered with or eligible to be registered with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of adult education.
• A record of demonstrated teaching excellence and clinical skills in the area of dental assisting.
• This position is located on an Alberta Health Services (AHS) site, compliance with AHS Workplace Health & Safety policies are in effect.

Preferred Qualifications

• A related Bachelor's Degree in Education, Leadership, Health Sciences, or Sciences is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience in a Dental Assisting program or advanced education in Dental Assisting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills, effective communication skills, and proficiency with computers and digital documentation.
