Summary BD solutions enable hospitals and diagnostic centers to address the continuing challenge to provide safe, effective, and timely patient care. The Clinical Application Specialist will build and maintain customer relationships by providing continuous support and guidance on the application of BD technologies within the clinical laboratory. Leveraging their knowledge of clinical microbiology and healthcare processes, this individual will collaborate with lab management and staff to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of BD product technologies to address clinical diagnostic needs aligned with their organizational goals

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the project plan deliverables for the implementation life cycle (pre-installation site planning, customer interfacing/change management, implementation support, and customer training).

Align system configuration to customer workflow SOPs and build custom tables in data management system for test result interpretation algorithms.

Develop, maintain, and deliver effective technical customer training.

Lead site acceptance testing to demonstrate system functionality as well as support operational go-live.

Provide on-going application support for the diagnostics instrument platforms to ensure proper utilization.

Collaborate with Medical Affairs to maintain a working knowledge of the CLSI guidelines and clinical best practices.

Participate in the on-going evolution of the platform strategy and tactical plans.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

University degree and/or Medical Laboratory Technologist preferably in Microbiology

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory

OTHER:

Up to 50% travel.

Fluent in English and French is an asset

Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
