Under the direction of the Physician Supervisor(s), you will: Participate in a collaborative care team in the effective assessment and stabilization of patients on admission, after admission, and over the course of the shift. Provide supervision, evaluation and medical/surgical management of patients. Perform supervised services and procedures for which you have been deemed qualified by the Physician Lead. Respond to related consultation requests in the Emergency Department or other inpatient departments and, in consultation with their attending physician, perform the patient admission history and physical examination. Conduct examination of patients, document patient history, conduct complete physical examinations, develop treatment plans in consultation with the Supervising Physician, and write patient orders. Prepare precise and timely progress notes in the patient\'s chart. You will record the findings of the history, physical examination, details of the procedure performed, and disposition of samples derived from the procedure. Alert the Supervising Physician of changes in the patient\'s condition and complete timely discharge planning and the dictation of discharge summaries. Participate in prepared didactic teaching sessions and quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Appropriate supervision and support are provided, and they will begin with a formal orientation and assessment.
