Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and Companionate person to join our team. The Client Support Worker provides direct support, guidance, and assistance to clients to ensure their safety, well-being, and successful participation in programs and services. This role focuses on building trusting relationships, supporting daily routines, monitoring client progress, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Duties



Key ResponsibilitiesClient Support & Engagement

Build positive, professional relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Program & Operations Support



Assist in the coordination of client schedules, appointments, and transportation. Support the intake and orientation of new clients, including paperwork and program explanation. Facilitate or co-facilitate group activities, workshops, or life-skills sessions. Ensure program policies and procedures are consistently followed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Communication & Documentation



Accurately complete shift notes, incident reports, and client documentation. Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Health & Safety



Monitor client wellness and respond to health or safety concerns promptly. Follow emergency procedures and workplace health and safety guidelines. Support clients in accessing external services such as medical, mental health, or community resources.

Qualifications



Education in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Addictions Support, Counseling, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience working with vulnerable populations, mental health, addiction, or community services preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and professionally. Valid driver's license . Ability to work independently and as part of a team. CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, or other relevant certifications considered an asset. Support clients with daily activities, appointments, group sessions, and program requirements. Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and emotional support when needed. Encourage client participation in programming, life skills development, and service plans. Observe, document, and report changes in client behavior, mood, or needs.
