Job Overview:
As a Client Services Sales Specialist, your primary focus will be on attracting and connecting with new potential clients, converting them into loyal customers, and ensuring their seamless onboarding and security strategy. This is a highly proactive, field-based role where you will engage in direct outreach through door-to-door efforts, cold calling, and other client acquisition activities. You will play an essential role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, establishing meaningful relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
In addition to your hands-on client outreach, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, including ownership, client services, operations, and marketing, to align business development strategies and execute on key initiatives. Your efforts will be integral in nurturing client relationships, supporting the Operations team in executing projects, and ensuring a smooth transition for new clients. You will contribute directly to the success of our client services by delivering high-quality service and supporting broader organizational goals. This role reports directly to the National Client Services Manager and is based in our Vancouver, BC office.

Job Responsibilities:
Business Development Duties:
Direct Outreach: Engage in door-to-door efforts and cold calling to identify and attract potential clients.
Client Acquisition: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outbound calls, emails, and other digital channels.
Inbound Inquiries: Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up with potential leads.
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Quoting and Proposals: Prepare, evaluate, and distribute compelling quotes, proposals, and sales contracts.
Contract Setup: Participate in and coordinate the setup of new contracts.
Process Development: Assist with the development of process documents and procedures, such as creating post orders and training manuals for client sites.
Data Analysis: Review, revise, and prepare reports with data analysis for clients as needed.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency and coverage requests from clients efficiently.
Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution and maintenance of client contracts.
Performance Measurement: Measure contract performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Stakeholder Management: Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Product Demonstration: Present and demonstrate products or services to prospective customers.
Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to improve lead generation and product offerings.
Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments.
Client Feedback Integration: Collect and analyze client feedback to improve service offerings and address any concerns promptly.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Networking and Events: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build relationships and increase brand visibility.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop long-term business development plans and strategies.
Partnership Development: Identify and establish partnerships with other businesses or organizations.
Customer Retention: Develop and implement strategies to retain clients, including periodic check-ins and satisfaction surveys.
Compliance and Legal: Ensure all business development activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior staff or new hires in the business development team.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts.
Proposal Development: Lead the creation of detailed and persuasive proposals for potential clients.
Customer Service Duties include:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions in a timely and professional manner.
Provide accurate information regarding services, and company policies.
Resolve customer issues, complaints, or concerns by identifying solutions or escalating when necessary.
Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude when interacting with customers.
Keep detailed records of customer interactions and transactions in the company's CRM system.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met and service levels are maintained.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
Manage, build, and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Deliver exceptional, friendly, and efficient service for all clients.
Address client queries, investigate complaints, and escalate serious issues as needed.
Collaborate with local management teams to meet client needs.
Create, review, and manage contracts and other client-related documents, ensuring all documentation is processed accurately.
Proactively identify client needs and maintain existing relationships.
Requirements:
4-6 years of progressive experience in a client focused role with a focus on business development.
Proven experience in project management, including the ability to lead projects to successful completion.
A bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Law.
Communications, Entrepreneurship, or a related field is highly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Impeccable attention to detail, especially in contract management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Asana with the ability to quickly learn new software.
A proactive and engaging personality with a natural ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Prior experience within the security industry is an asset.
Strong problem-solving skills with the drive to identify and fulfill client needs.
Access to a personal vehicle for commuting to client sites and meetings (associated expenses will be reimbursed).
Ability to reliably commute to our Vancouver, BC office and client sites across British Columbia.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Excellent analytical skills to assess market data and identify trends that can drive business growth.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Previous experience in sales or business development is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results.
