About the Role
The Client Service Representative is an administrative and client-focused role responsible for supporting our group benefits clients and their employees. You'll be the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring prompt, professional and accurate service.
In this role, you will work closely with our Consulting team and Third-Party Administration team to deliver daily administration services, maintain client and employee records, and assist with renewals and plan changes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Administration
Respond to client and employee inquiries regarding benefit plans, claims, and general plan information
Provide daily administration services, including large volumes of data management
Maintain accurate employee and dependent records
Prepare and reconcile monthly billing statements
Conduct enrollment audits and assist with plan amendments or updates
Liaise between clients and insurance carriers for claims, life, and disability inquiries
Provide peer review and back-up support to colleagues as required
Coordinate client training sessions
Client Support & Collaboration
Support Advisors and Consultants in maintaining strong client relationships
Assist with renewals, experience reporting, and preparation of plan overview documents
Conduct Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) audits as needed
Liaise with clients and insurers regarding major claims issues or escalations
Support Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) reporting and data management where applicable
Reporting & Analysis
Assist in preparing quarterly claims summaries for non-ASO benefits
Compile and track occupational accident claim experience (if applicable)
Maintain and distribute accurate and timely reports for internal teams and clients
Plan Renewals, Marketing & Amendments
Input renewal data and compile supporting documentation for the consulting team
Assist with marketing and market review activities
Process plan amendments and coordinate with carriers and clients to confirm direction, pricing, and documentation
Review carrier booklets and materials for accuracy and ensure timely delivery of final versions to clients
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience in group benefits administration, insurance, or a related client service role (3+ years' experience preferred)
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
LLQP an asset
