Position Overview
The Client Partner is responsible for cultivating and managing corporate participation and sponsorships for CPG's high-profile events. This role requires a proactive, energetic, and relationship-focused professional who can successfully execute a sales plan, achieve revenue targets, and build long-term client partnerships.
The role is heavily performance driven: while the base salary provides stability, a significant portion of the total compensation is earned through commissions, bonuses, and incentives tied directly to sales results. Successful Client Partners will significantly exceed base salary levels through consistent achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage a sales plan to achieve weekly, monthly, and annual revenue targets.
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach (phone, email, virtual, and in-person meetings).
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, ensuring stewardship, renewals, and referrals.
Execute outbound sales campaigns, including prospecting, cold calling, presentations, and negotiations.
Prepare contracts, proposals, and other sales documentation.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress within a CRM (preferably HubSpot).
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, content) to align on deliverables and support successful event execution.
Deliver compelling presentations to communicate CPG's value proposition.
Provide high-quality client service and support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Stay informed on Indigenous economic issues and opportunities to align sales strategies with CPG's mission and values.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, sponsorship sales, media/publishing sales, or related fields.
Demonstrated ability to qualify prospects, present value-driven solutions, and close sales.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Experience managing a high volume of outbound sales activities and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Post-secondary education in business, commerce, or a related field is an asset.
Previous experience selling sponsorships, exhibits, is a strong asset.
Knowledge of or affinity with Indigenous economic development and inclusion initiatives is highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $50,000-$55,000 annually
Performance Compensation: Uncapped commission and bonus structure, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $100,000+ annually

Additional Information
Our Client Partners are in based in Calgary, Vancouver, and Ontario. Each position covers a defined geography. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to commute within their local market.
The role requires periodic travel, after-hours work, and weekend availability. A reliable vehicle and mobile phone are required.
