Burrard Animal Hospital + ER is a compassionate, fast-paced veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and outstanding service to their owners. We're looking for a warm, organized, and customer-focused Client Care Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic.

Position Summary

The Veterinary Client Care Receptionist is responsible for delivering an excellent client experience--both in person and over the phone. You will support the medical team by managing appointments, communicating clearly with clients, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records Communicate clearly about clinic policies, services, and pet-care instructions Assist with medical record preparation and ensure proper documentation Maintain a clean, organized reception area Collaborate with technicians, assistants, and veterinarians to support efficient workflow Handle client concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, medical office, or customer-service setting preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfort working in a fast-paced environment Strong typing, computer, and multitasking abilities Professional, calm, and friendly demeanor Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with animal handling when needed
