We work with our 11 First Nation community partners and one Indigenous Friendship Centre in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services, and health promotion services.
The opportunity:
The Client Care Coordinator provides both clerical and clinical support to the primary health care team at the Batchewana First Nation Health Centre. Working within an interdisciplinary team, this role helps coordinate client-focused primary care for community members seeking and accessing health services.
What you need to bring with you:
Medical Office Administrative Assistant Certification, and/or college diploma in the field of a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Must possess excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to promote teamwork
Must be self-directed, resourceful and possess critical thinking skills
Strong knowledge and proficient in the use of computers and various software applications, such as Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook
Experience in the use of electronic health records would be a definite asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment
Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle

What to expect?
Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
