Assurance Home Care is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate

Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse who are registered with the College of Nurses in Ontario or Ordre des infirmieres et infirmiers du Quebec.

The type of care can include but not be limited to providing nursing and personal care services (on occasion) to our clients in the comfort of their homes and spaces where they live in or through our seasonal flu clinics that are run through various communities.

The successful candidate will empower our clients and be passionate about delivering first in class care to our clients and their families while being respectful and caring working in the client home environment.

Some of the Tasks You Will Do:



Conduct in-home nursing assessments to evaluate client needs, safety, and overall care requirements. Deliver personal care services with compassion, dignity, and attention to individual preferences. Provide nursing care in accordance with the established care plan, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.Support clients in maintaining independence through health teaching, encouragement, and respectful guidance. Collaborate with families and the broader care team to ensure consistent, customized support. Monitor and document changes in client condition, communicating updates to the team as needed. Respect and maintain clear professional boundaries while fostering warm, trusting relationships Uphold safety protocols and infection control procedures during all client interactions Demonstrate kindness, patience, and emotional resilience when supporting palliative and dementia care clients Administer flu shots in a clinic setting and all associated admin tasks such as recording dosages and medication administration.

What You Bring to the Role:



Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing with a Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse certification. LEAP Certified. Palliative care certifications and/or equivalent years of job experience. Eligible to work in Canada with at least 1+ years of nursing experience, including home?based or complex care. Experience caring for clients with dementia/Alzheimers. Reliable transportation, Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle would be considered an asset. Current TB test and clear Vulnerable Sector check. CPR certification is considered a strong asset. Excellent critical thinking, independent judgement, and communication skills. Display good emotional health and be physically fit to do some heavy lifting; Demonstrate flexibility in acceptance of assignments and a cooperative attitude toward providing services. Ability to treat clients with respect and dignity; to provide boundaries and to adapt to new situations.
