Portfolio Education Group (PEG Education Inc.) is a Canadian education organization that provides after-school enrichment, academic tutoring, arts and cultural programs, portfolio preparation, and international admissions consulting services.??Our mission is to help students achieve their academic and creative potential while building global competitiveness. Serving families across the Greater Toronto Area and international clients, PEG integrates education, creative industries, and cultural exchange into innovative learning programs.??We are seeking a Client Base Development Manager who will combine operational leadership with international education expertise to ensure effective program delivery, client engagement, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Education & Admissions Guidance (30%)
Provide personalized advising and mentorship to students applying for undergraduate and graduate programs in Canada, the US, and the UK.
Guide students in program selection, admissions requirements, portfolio strategy, personal statements, and interview preparation.
Design and deliver seminars, workshops, and webinars on portfolio development, admissions strategy, and global higher education trends.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian, UK, and US university systems (e.g., UCAS, Common App).
2. Marketing, Communications & Public Relations (30%)
Develop and implement integrated communication and marketing strategies to promote education programs, cultural events, and brand collaborations.
Oversee preparation of public written materials, including brochures, newsletters, reports, briefs, guides, bibliographies, and digital content.
Manage PEG's digital and social media presence (WeChat, Weibo, RED, Instagram, LinkedIn, official website).
Publicize workshops, meetings, and events; represent PEG at education fairs, cultural events, fashion weeks, and industry conferences.
Advise clients on advertising, communications, and promotional strategies, ensuring brand consistency across platforms.
Produce educational and publicity programs to promote curiosity, engagement, and interest in subject matter.
3. Global Partnerships & Business Development (20%)
Identify and build strategic partnerships with schools, universities, cultural institutions, and international agencies.
Develop and negotiate joint programs, sponsorships, and collaborations to expand PEG's global footprint.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and business development projects to identify emerging opportunities in the education, cultural, and creative sectors.
Respond to business community inquiries concerning development opportunities; provide insights for new service lines and international expansion.
Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and staff coordination to ensure smooth program and project delivery.
Supervise and mentor a small professional team (3-4 people), providing training and guidance for skill development.
Support financial functions, including budgeting, cost tracking, fundraising, and KPI reporting.
Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across teams for efficiency and compliance.
Ensure compliance with intellectual property (IP) and copyright standards, including licensing, brand usage, and media rights.
Prepare reports, presentations, and internal communications for senior leadership and external partners.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Master's degree required in Education, Arts/Design, Communications, Business, or Law.
Background in education advising, arts/cultural industries, brand management, or IP/legal studies strongly preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of relevant work experience in education consulting, higher education guidance, communications, or project management in the arts/fashion/creative sectors.
Proven track record in international market project/event coordination, client relationship management, and business development.
Experience in cross-cultural or multinational enterprises; professional background with well-known international fashion or cultural organizations considered a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to manage teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin and/or French considered a strong asset.
Strong interpersonal skills with client focus; confident in public speaking, advising, and cross-cultural communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Drive.
Advanced proficiency in digital platforms (WeChat, RED, Instagram, LinkedIn) and content management systems.
Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and KPI analysis.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects, XD, Dreamweaver a plus) and Figma.
Ability to design market research questionnaires, conduct online promotions, and produce marketing copy.
