Principal duties and responsibilities (dependent on position)

(a) Year End Engagements

Complete Compilation, Review and Audit year end engagement files Corporate income tax preparation and planning Recording transactions and adjustments for year end engagements
(b) Income Tax Compliance

Complete personal and corporate income tax returns Complete other information returns as required
(c) Personal Development

Maintain technical proficiency through professional reading, professional development courses and general awareness of current issues Contribute to the development of new ideas and processes within the Firm Adhere to the ethical standards of Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants and those implicit within MW&CO

Job requirements (qualifications, experience, and preferred attributes):

Competent with numbers, analysis and reporting Completion of post-secondary accounting degree, diploma, or certificate Public accounting experience an asset Experience with accounting software applications an asset (Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Taxprep) Knowledge or interest in agricultural accounting or tax an asset Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, strong initiative, and attention to detail
