Job Summary
Reporting to the Division Manager, the Clerk 111 will provide advanced clerical/ /administrative support to the manager and staff of the Veterans Pavilion including; organizing and maintaining staff schedules and benefit balance reports, creation / facilitation and dissemination of staff schedules, maintaining and organizing staff leave requests ,coordination and collaboration with central staffing to fill staffing requests , staff call back, payroll entry and record keeping, timekeeper responsibilities including review of and resolution of smoothing banks in collaboration with payroll department and manager, general office duties are also required, such as preparing correspondence, scheduling meetings, taking and transcribing minutes for meetings, entering and follow up on work requests, completion of purchase orders, filing, preparation of reports, creation and dissemination of staffing reports, and general office organization. The Clerk 111 also acts as the receptionist for the unit and is responsible for preparing/filing/data entry of patient care information on the unit, as well as order entry. The Clerk 111 is responsible for photocopying, sorting and distributing mail; The Clerk II1 position is also responsible for all MSA duties on the unit including but not limited to, maintaining an organized system of stocking supplies and ordering supplies as requested; portering patients; and the pick-up and delivery of supplies and requisitions. Other related duties as required. In this position there will be significant interaction with stakeholders such as staff, residents and the public.

Job Demands

Constantly lifts objects less than 5lbs and occasionally lifts up to between 20 - 40 lbs when helping with a patient\'s luggage or lifting a box of files requiring assistance. Work provides the opportunity to stand and walk and the opportunity to take postural breaks (sit, stand or walk) within the office environment but requires prolonged sitting, bending, stretching, and lifting.
May be required to maneuver carts and use a step ladder to access higher shelves.
Constantly performs repetitive bilateral fine motor/precision (i.e., typing) while sitting and using a computer and mouse (seated at a workstation).

Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a one-year Office Administration program from an approved/recognized college is required.
Successful completion of an approved/recognized medical terminology course is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.

*Proof of a current office administration program and a medical terminology is required. To be considered current, they must have been completed within the last five years, unless it has been used in recent positions. This must be demonstrated on the application form.

** If the medical terminology isn\'t current, a medical terminology test may be administered by the HR Client Services.
