Position Summary
The Clerical Support staff plays a key role in day-to-day administrative operations. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with data entry, and enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment within the trucking and logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
Enter shipment data and manifests into internal systems accurately and in a timely manner
Perform general data entry and maintain up-to-date records in dispatch and logistics systems
Answer phones and respond to emails professionally and promptly
Assist with the preparation and processing of shipping documents (e.g. bills of lading, customs paperwork)
Organize and file documents both digitally and in hard copy
Liaise with drivers, customers, and third-party vendors as required
Provide general administrative support to office and dispatch staff
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in office administration is an asset)
1-2 years of clerical or administrative experience (experience in transportation/logistics is preferred)
Experience with manifest entry is a strong asset
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Comfortable learning and using transportation management software
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
