Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance and customer service while contributing to a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or residential settings Use hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment effectively to complete assigned duties Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues to management Operate heavy lifting equipment when necessary for moving supplies or furniture Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all designated areas, adhering to safety protocols and procedures Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet their specific cleaning needs Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes

Experience

Prior custodial experience or background in commercial cleaning is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for all new hires Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Experience with heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with cleaning roles Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and clients
