Job Description
We are looking for a full-time addition to our cleaning/landscaping team. This is a labour intensive job working with a Property Management company on three multi-family apartment blocks near the University of Manitoba.
This is a full-time job working the hours from 7:00am - 3:00pm Thursday to Monday and requires you to live on-site. Along with minimum wage ($15.80/hr), a 1-bedroom unit ($1400/month) will be included in the position.
The focus of your position would be on exterior tasks such as snow shovelling, lawn mowing, landscaping, washing windows and rolling out garbage bins for removal.
Although the main duties of this position include exterior work, there will be regularly assigned indoor tasks as well. This could include things like vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, carpet cleaning and much more.
Snow Clearing is the primary importance for this position during the winter months. This means that if it is to snow outside of your regular schedule you will need to work overtime to ensure the grounds remain snow and ice free.
This job works alongside two other interior cleaners and two maintenance men. Management is on site and will help to guide you through your daily tasks.
After the probationary period, this position includes a health spending account as well as yearly RRSP contributions.
Responsibilities
Snow clearing Lawn mowing Landscaping Carpet cleaning (Spot & Annual) Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste management disposal Assist in annual cleaning of the parkade Window Cleaning Notify management of any damages or repairs needed Follow all health and safety regulations
Experience
Proven experience in maintenance of exterior space is an added advantage Usage of gas powered yard equipment's (Lawn mower, leave blower, snow blower) Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
If you are a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for a clean environment, we would love to have you on our team. Previous experience in outside maintenance is an added advantage
