We are seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time

Cleaner (Restoration Worker)

to join our Emergency Restoration Services Team. In this position, your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will play a vital role in successfully restoring of our clients' properties.

This position is based out of our main office at 27 Nixon Road in Bolton, Monday-Friday from 7:30am to approximately 4:00pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and Sanitize

: Thoroughly clean and sanitize residential and commercial properties affected by emergencies, including fire and water damage.

Debris Removal

: Remove debris, damaged materials, and hazardous substances from the restoration site to ensure a safe and clean environment for clients and team members.

Surface Cleaning

: Clean and disinfect various surfaces, including walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, and appliances, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning

: Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, stain removal, and odour control as required.

Window Cleaning

: Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to ensure they are free from streaks and residue.

Mold Remediation

: Assist in mold remediation efforts by cleaning and treating affected areas while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.

Inventory Management

: Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good working condition.

Compliance

: Adhere to safety and environmental regulations and company policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Documentation

: Accurately record and document cleaning activities, including before-and-after photos and notes on the condition of the property.

Team Collaboration

: Work collaboratively with restoration technicians, project managers, and other team members to ensure a seamless restoration process.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Availability to work Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm approximately Participation in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours Emergency Services CSA approved safety footwear Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various environments Comfortability working in environments that may be contaminated with heavy smoke residue, mould and mildew, contaminated water or other unsanitary conditions Active participation in on-going training and safety certifications as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous work experience as a cleaner, emergency restoration experience is considered an asset Valid driver's license and reliable transportation IICRC certifications or training related to mold remediation is considered an asset Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Strong attention to detail Ability to take direction and work well with others in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
