Clean Harbors located in Brampton, ON is seeking a Clean Pack Specialist to grow our Clean Pack Business within and East of the GTA. Successful candidate will be responsible for visiting customer\'s sites and reviewing chemical waste inventories, providing guidance on segregation, packing and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/Provincial/Local Regulations/Transportation of Dangerous Goods and company policies/procedures.

This position will work both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, customer sites and are responsible for quoting and assisting with lab packs within customer facilities, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections and lab moves. This is a customer facing position, with local travel, working at customer sites regularly. As a Clean Pack Specialist, you are responsible to grow the Clean Pack and T&D business within assigned geography. By working in conjunction with the Regional Sales and Operations teams to develop and execute a sustainable business plan. We are willing to train, but a strong chemical/waste background and/or customer facing/sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • Prepare computer generated quotations and accurate waste inventories, clearly communicate with operations, compliance, and customer to coordinate service
  • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance
  • Inspect waste storage area and drums for leaks or spills and compliance with labelling requirements
  • Organize, segregate, and stage waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance with OSHA, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Environmental Regulations and Company Policies.
  • Executes Jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations including fortune 500 companies
  • Conducts projects/jobs according to site specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans
  • Understand customer specific disposal restrictions/special packaging requirements
  • Creation of new waste profiles and sampling of waste containers as required
  • Follow all local, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver\'s license
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Works well independently and strong work ethic
  • Strong computer knowledge and familiarity with excel, word, power point, salesforce, outlook, etc.
  • Perform physical functions as per job requirements
  • Successfully complete a drug & alcohol pre-employment test
Preferred Qualifications:
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Chemistry or Environmental Science
  • Previous experience in Environmental Services or Waste Management
  • Customer Facing/Sales Experience

  • Waste Disposal - Comprehensive disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at Company-owned facilities
  • Recycling Services - Extensive recycling, reuse and reclamation options for materials such as solvents, chemicals, oil and electrical equipment
