We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in completing conductors.
Duties
Operate heavy trucks to transport goods over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Assist in the basic maintenance of the truck, including minor repairs and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to transportation safety.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for performing basic maintenance on vehicles.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
