Class A Gas Fitter & Steam Technician



We are looking for a curious, enterprising, and ambitious Class A gas fitter looking to accelerate their learning about boiler systems, processes, and controls. This individual should enjoy working with their hands, have strong attention to detail, and bring a keen mind to work. Each day is an opportunity to do meaningful work and learn something new because we work at numerous sites on a large variety of equipment.

This role is ideal for a gas fitter with strong existing technical skills working with boiler controls and burners who wants to expand their experience working with large industrial steam boilers. We aim to provide significant flexibility in the hours you work and the amount of time you want to take off.

We encourage ongoing learning and will sponsor training to become a certified 5th Class Power Engineer; upon completion, we will provide a bump to an employee's hourly wage.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:



Communicate with customers to determine issues that arise, and collaborate with them to resolve issues Optimize firing and controls on fleet of rental boilers, and perform repairs and upgrades on the equipment as needed Take the lead to organize and undertake boiler annual inspections Perform boiler commissioning for new boiler and rental installations Troubleshoot issues with boilers and ancillary equipment to ensure proper operation of system, and recommend remedial work to be completed in order to solve a customer's core issue Assist in the installation of new boilers and the repair of existing boilers Research parts that meet customer requirements, and when necessary, use operating manuals to assist in troubleshooting process Provide information needed to pull gas permits

Required Qualifications:



Class 'A' gas fitter Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:



Significant experience performing boiler annual inspections Work experience as a pipe fitter, plumber, or millwright 4th Class Power Engineers Certification Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills Independent and dependable self-starter Occupational First Aid 1, H2S, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry Experience working with steam boilers, burners, and controls
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $58.00-$60.00 per hour
