Our Sainte-Catherine, QC (south shore) site is currently looking for a
Class 1FM Driver
(permanent, full time). The driver/operator is responsible for operating equipment and transporting hazardous waste (trailer and semi-trailer/container truck/pump tanker truck).
You will perform various tasks in the areas of hazardous waste cleanup, site restoration, equipment and facility decontamination, and emergency response.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekday and weekend work. Must be available Monday through Sunday.
Ensure that health and safety is the number one priority by following policies and
procedures and acting safely at all times.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste (i.e., ensure that drums are properly separated and loaded, etc.); comply with load limits and ensure
proper use of company equipment.
Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timesheets, expense accounts,
mileage reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
Follow assigned pickup and delivery schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess a Class 1 license
(
with FM endorsement*) Previous driving experience with trailers and semi-trailers/container trucks/pump tank trucks).
Clean driving record with no violations in the last 5 years. Clean Driving record (SAAQ) is required.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds
Able to climb and work at least 2 feet above the ground
Able to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators and coveralls
Must own 8-inch work boots
High school diploma preferred
Be ready and willing to work
Have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English and French.
