Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

Operate trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs. Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle as needed.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
