To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a

Class 1 or 3 Driver:

to join our West Edmonton team. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of duties and will be joining a fast-paced, safe environment and diverse team!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and drive Flat Deck Truck to transport materials on over urban/inter-urban routes Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals and brakes Oversee all aspects such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods Comply with Federal/Provincial legislative requirements such as legal weight, speed limits, permitting, load security, hours of service, etc. Administer bills of lading and maintain log book Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices Apply preventative maintenance and perform minor emergency roadside repairs Complete other paperwork as required Operate and perform in conformance with company processes and procedures

Essential Skills and Experience:

Valid Class 1 or Class 3 drivers license and commercial vehicle abstract A minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience Overhead Crane experience is an asset Superior time management and organizational skills in order to prioritize tasks in a high volume and busy environment Effective communication, both written and verbal; including the ability to interface with customers and personnel at all levels Good mechanical aptitude Able to work independently with minimal supervision
