Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and heavy equipment operation. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport goods to various destinations in a safe and timely manner. (Option A) Start 7:00 pm in our yard, pick-up load in Laval, QC., to deliver to Quebec & return with a load. (Option B) Start 7:00 pm in our yard, pick-up FTL in Laval, deliver to customer in Ottawa. Driver must unload trailer at customer. Hourly pay rate will be provided upon request. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details as required by law. (ELD Isaac System). Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Experience operating forklifts is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
