Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck and pup driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting materials to and from job sites. This role requires a combination of commercial driving expertise, heavy equipment operation, and basic automotive repair knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of our dump trucks.

Responsibilities

Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition. Load and unload materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including freight documentation and vehicle maintenance logs. Follow all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the dump truck as needed. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar vehicles. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices. Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required by project schedules.
