We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and adherence to safety regulations. The Dump Truck Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by delivering freight and assisting with various tasks on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Operate tandem dump trucks, truck and pony, and truck and transfers vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Perform highway hauls throughout BC, when required with mountain driving experience
Transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, asphalt, and other construction materials to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues that may arise during transport.
Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks on the truck as necessary to keep it operational.
Requirements
Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience with manual transmission is required.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety protocols.
Highway hauling and BC mountain driving experience.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and material transportation regulations.
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
