Sharecost Rentals & Sales in Central Nanaimo has an opening for a

Class 1 Driver,

with a clean drivers abstract and good knowledge of safety protocols. This position is listed as part-time and may only require working 1 day per week right now, but will quickly work up to full-time hours in the busy season, usually beginning by mid to late February. This will also be a permanent position for the right candidate.

This position requires experience driving a Gravel Truck & Pup, as well as operating the following equipment: Front End Loaders, Skidsteers and forklifts.

The ideal candidate will have experience loading & operating

a hook truck with 40 yd. can.

Responsibilities will include loading materials into delivery trucks for customer deliveries; transporting materials between two Sharecost yards; performing & recording vehicle inspections & maintenance daily; processing & executing deliveries as required in a safe & timely manner; unloading shipments safely using forklift.

The ideal person for this position will be safety conscious, detail-oriented, capable of processing paperwork quickly & efficiently and possess strong time management skills. We need someone who is physically fit and able to lift heavy weights as required. Excellent people skills would also be an asset.
