Responsibilities

Safely operate a highway tractor to transport rig mats and heavy equipment to designated locations Securely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure safe operation Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any required tickets

Skills & Qualifications

Valid commercial

Class 1 driver's license (CDL)

with a clean driving record

5-year driver's abstract required

All drivers must pass a

drug and alcohol test

Proven experience as a Class 1 truck driver

Oilfield and heavy hauling experience is a must

Knowledge of the use of

Hi-Boy trailers, low bed trailers, flat decks, and Super B trains

Experience loading, unloading and hauling equipment Experience

operating equipment such as skid-steers and wheel loaders

is strongly preferred

Mechanical knowledge

and ability strongly preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to operate federally with a willingness to overnight as needed
The majority of our

Leduc area work is local

, which enables our employees to spend most nights at home. However, some of our work will require overnight stays in the truck.

Summary

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, utilizing your commercial driving expertise and Class 1 License. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role involves operating B-train vehicles and managing heavy haul deliveries while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your strong communication skills and commitment to customer service will enhance client satisfaction. Additionally, your skills and relevant experience in automotive repair and heavy equipment operation will contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
