Class 1 Driver

Job Description
This position's primary responsibility is to operate transport trucks, including 5-ton and semi-trailers. The primary delivery area will be within the Okanagan region, with frequent trips to other branches/worksites across Canada.
o Safely operate transport trucks (semi-Trailers, 5-ton, 3-ton, 1-ton) to deliver equipment to event sites
o Towing of equipment as needed
o Load and unload cargo as needed.
o Ensure timely and accurate delivery of equipment to event sites
o Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
o Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
o Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
Working Conditions
o Class 1 Drivers work in a multitude of different environments and have to travel to non-standard workplaces which include event sites, arenas and other venues and must be prepared to travel to various events.
o Class 1 Drivers do not work a standard workweek and are required to work the industry demanding hours which includes working overtime, late nights and weekends if required
Physical Requirements
o Class 1 Drivers are required to sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis and do repetitive tasks in loud and busy environments.
o This role includes moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $27.00-$34.00 per hour
