Job Description

D.J. Donahue Trucking Ltd is seeking a professional Class 1 driver for dedicated year round work.

This is a Night run with a start time between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. each night

The run leaves Grande Prairie, AB with a pick up in Clairmont, AB, a trailer switch in Valleyview, AB, a drop in Dawson Creek, BC, a drop and pick up at same customer in Fort St John, BC and return to Grande Prairie, AB.

The run is 650 kms normally taking 10 to 11 hours per night to complete

This run goes 5 nights per week (Sunday night through Thursday night)

Weekends off, Holidays off

Light weight tandem dry van freight

Paid Hourly $36.00/hour + O/T after 10 hours per day or 50 hours per week, whichever is greater.

Direct deposit pay on the 15th and last day of the month.

Company paid benefits pkg after 3 months of employment.

Class 1 driver requirements:

Minimum 3 years Class 1 driving experience

Clean commercial drivers abstract

Letter of verifiable accident free commercial insurance coverage with previous insurance company or companies (Last 3 years)

Must have forklift training and experience operating as driver is responsible for load/offload at each stop.

Strong communication skills

Positive attitude

Dangerous goods training required, can be obtained upon hire.
