Job Summary




As a Claims Management Specialist, you'll take the lead in managing employee leave, claims, and return-to-work processes. This role is central to ensuring compliance, accurate payroll management, and strong communication between employees, managers, and our external partners. You'll play a key role in helping employees feel supported and smoothly reintegrated into the workplace after leave working in close partnership with our Managers and People Business Partners.

What you'll do



Process and manage employee leave and disability claims, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements. Collect required documentation, including confidential medical information, to adjudicate claims with external providers as necessary. Liaise with insurance carriers or third-party administrators to confirm accurate claim processing and benefit disbursement. Responsible for entering workers' compensation claims with Liberty Mutual to the Hartford for managing FMLA tracking for U.S. employees. Provide clear and timely information to employees about their leave entitlements, claim status, and any required actions on their part. Maintain accurate leave records and generate reports to operating departments detailing the status of disability claims, projected return-to-work dates, and review deadlines. Plan and conduct return-to-work meetings with employees, managers, health & safety team, and union representatives to outline the steps and appropriate work accommodations and modifications for a successful reintegration into the workplace, and continue to monitor over time, and adjusting plans as needed based on the employee's recovery progress. Communicate with Managers and People Business Partners to keep them informed about employee leave durations, restrictions, and any impact on departmental operations.

Required qualifications



Minimum of 3 years of experience in case management, claims management, or a related field. Strong understanding of leave management, disability claims processes, and return-to-work procedures in the US and Canada.
