Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Commercial Property, the primary duty of the Commercial Property Advisor, is to identify and meet client needs and act with a sense of urgency in ensuring a prompt and thorough investigation of the claim to:
Provide sound advice at every customer interaction to create a legendary customer experience;
Considers every case as unique and chooses the proper methods to arrive at a fair and equitable claim resolution
Gather, assemble and verify information and documentation from all available sources to ensure a thorough and complete compilation of facts required to confirm coverage;
Review insurance policies, contracts and other documentation to accurately assess insurance coverage;
Review damage estimates and appraisals to determine most probable outcome for reserving practices;
Evaluate new documentation and revise reserves promptly to ensure accurate case reserves;
Provide prompt updates to customers during the claims lifecycle to ensure a legendary customer experience;
Ensure customer concerns are handled appropriately and escalates issues when necessary;
Work with claim management vendors to maintain service standards
Read and remain current on case law, legislated regulatory changes;
Apply claims management principles and procedures to manage claims costs and leakage;
Identify red flags and handle or escalate according to organizational processes/procedures
Meet productivity goals set by the department in terms of pending file count and open/close ratio
Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure prompt communication of issues/ points of interest
Support the team by continuously enhancing knowledge / expertise in own area and take part in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports an inclusive and diverse workforce
Act as a brand champion for the business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally
Requirements
College / university degree and/or related work experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Team Player
3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Commercial Property claims including Crime and Business Interruption coverages
