GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Civil Technician to join our Team. We currently have openings for a full-time Civil Technician in our Ottawa office.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Educational & Experience Requirements:

• College Level Diploma, or currently enrolled is considered an asset.
• Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset.
• Experience working with computer assisted drafting (CAD) and surveying is considered an asset.
• Experience working in civil construction is considered an asset.

Main Duties:

• Laboratory testing of aggregates, soil, concrete, and asphalt.
• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Various office, laboratory, and field tasks related to materials testing, geotechnical engineering, and environmental engineering.
• Other duties as required.

Other:

• Full-time
• Providing proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 may be a condition of employment. Exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis in relation to local health guidelines and/or client requirements/regulations.
• Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to a personal vehicle.
