MUST be able to display a minimum of two (2) years of previous civil pipelaying experience,
be skilled to work in a construction environment, and be flexible to commute to various areas of the within and outside of the GTA, along with some remote/out of town work.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of pipe systems.
Assist with site preparation as required.
Install and align pipes for water, sewer, drainage systems, etc. using appropriate tools and equipment.
Lay pipes in trenches, ensuring proper alignment, and gradient.
Connect pipes using appropriate means.
Work alongside excavation and heavy equipment (i.e. excavators, skid steers, dozers, etc.).
Collaborate with supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members.
Assist with clean-up tasks.
Required Competencies and Attributes:
The candidate
MUST be able to show two (2) years prior work experience in construction/civil pipelaying.

MUST know/understand grades (i.e. setting structures and how to pip to proper grades).
Knowledge of municipal and provincial standards, specifications, and guidelines.
Knowledge of legislative safety standards applicable to construction.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and alignment issues.
The candidate must have a valid G-drivers license and a clear drivers abstract.
Access to a reliable vehicle to travel to various construction sites.
Ability to pass any required security screening and/or background checks.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills, oral and written, in English.
Knowledge of hoisting and rigging applications is an asset.
Work Environment:
Work is performed on construction sites, which will involve exposure to outdoor elements and weather conditions (rain, mud, dirt, snow, bugs, etc.).
Physical demands of the job require heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required (i.e. head protection, foot protection, full length pants, high visibility upper apparel, along with hand and eye protection as required).
Work Location(s):
Within and outside of the GTA.
Some projects may be remote and may require overnight stays (compensated by the company).

Pay: $32.50-$35.00 per hour
