Nexco Construction is a heavy civil construction company specializing in site development, excavation and road building. We are growing and looking to expand our team accordingly.
Duties
Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
Plan work in an efficient and safe manner
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
Lead site safety meetings and complete all daily safety paperwork.
Ensure all site tasks are performed in accordance to OHS regulation and Nexco's safety program.
Utilize construction management software HCSS for project safety, employee timecards and production tracking.
Assist the Construction Manager and Project Manager in scheduling and project requirements.
Train new employees on safety protocols, equipment usage, equipment maintenance and company policies.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among crew members.
Skills
Experience in Civil works such as site development, excavation or road building
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development.
Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately.
Familiarity with quality control processes in construction projects.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Experience with provincial highway and bridge projects is considered an asset

Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 - 55 per week
