Job Description


We are on the lookout for a talented Junior Civil Engineer or Junior Civil Technologist to join our team in Saskatoon. You will be supporting and contributing to the delivery of civil infrastructure projects and will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide civil engineering services to a variety of public and private sector clients.Your responsibilities will include providing support to professional engineers in the preparation of designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, and contract administration on site. You will perform site visits to facilitate inspections of infrastructure works under construction, as well as conduct condition assessments on existing structures.Some travel will be required as part of your regular job duties, for multi-day/week field assignments. You will be based out of Saskatoon but will be expected to travel throughout Saskatchewan as required, including overnight stays. You will also liaise with clients and participate in business development and proposal preparation.You will lead by example and apply new perspectives on technology use and the efficient application of technology. You are forward thinking and will engage fellow discipline members to improve overall team performance and client service.As part of the Saskatoon Infrastructure Division, you will report to the Technical Services Manager within this Division in Saskatoon.Job RequirementsWhat you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering OR Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, from an accredited post-secondary institution (Education requirement may vary depending on the status of the successful candidate)
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience , gained in an academic or workplace setting
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver\'s license
  • Experience working in the field is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to travel within SK as required
