Job Description

Alpha Adroit Engineering (https://www.alphaadroit.ca) is seeking EIT or technologists (civil engineering or geotechnical engineering).

Job includes working in the field (and sometime lab), including during COVID pandemic or other natural disasters. Use of proper PPE and Health and Safety regulations and guidelines (including also social distancing) MUST be followed.

This position will include the responsibilities of a geotechnical engineering E.I.T. and civil/geotechnical engineering technologist for the type of services conducted by Alpha Adroit Engineering .

This position will require traveling and working across Alberta and may include Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Northwest Territories. Having a Class 5 driver's license is a MUST and the candidate might be required to drive company vehicles.

Having a minimum of three (3) years of clear driving history in Canada is a MUST.

Please do NOT apply to this position if you do not meet this requirement unless you have a truck and can insure it for commercial use (in this case you will receive mileage payment for works conducted for the Company).

Smoking (including vaping and use of recreational marijuana) and consumption of alcohol and drugs are prohibited on all Alpha Adroit and its client premises. All staff are subject to random, on-demand drug and alcohol tests.

Requirements:



Having a class 5 Driver's license with clear abstract is a requirement Having a minimum of three (3) years of clear driving history in Canada Safety training requirements: CSTS, WHIMIS, TDG Class 7, Wildlife Awareness, and other safety requirements as required by Alpha Adroit Living in Edmonton or relocating to Edmonton (or a nearby location) is a requirement. Professional communication skills Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Out Look) The successful candidate fully adheres to Alpha Adroit's core values, mission, and vision, as outlined in our website, and fully follows Alpha Adroit's policies and procedures

Technical Skills (considered an asset - not a mandatory requirement):



Visual classification of soils and rocks with reasonable accuracy is considered an asset Training in Ground Disturbance Level II, H2S Alive, Standard First Aid and CPR, and confined space entry is considered an asset. Experience in soil compaction testing using nuclear density gauge is considered an asset. Experience in concrete construction QA/QC (fresh concrete testing) is considered an asset. Experience in laboratory testing of soils, rock, concrete, oil sand, tailing, and asphalt is considered an asset. Competency in using Auto CAD is considered an asset.
