Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of land development projects, including site grading, drainage, lot servicing, and roadworks.
Coordinate and collaborate with in-house engineering, drafting, and project management teams throughout all project phases.
Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations.
Review and seal design documents in accordance with professional standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and approving authorities as required.
Support the preparation of proposals, budgets, and schedules for prospective projects.
Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables are on time and meet quality standards.
Qualifications
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
in good standing with
APEGA
.
Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development.
Strong understanding of subdivision design, municipal servicing, and site grading.
Experience or specialization in
hydrology
and stormwater management is an asset.
Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., Civil 3D, StormCAD, SWMM).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
