Binnie is looking for a Design Engineer to join our Burnaby Infrastructure Division, which delivers infrastructure planning, design and construction services for linear infrastructure (water, storm, sanitary), streets and transportation, and water resources assignments.

This is a full-time position in our Burnaby office, located near Highway 1 and the Kensington Avenue Interchange near scenic Deer Lake.

You will be working with our friendly and supportive team of experienced Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers on a wide range of capital municipal projects.
YOUR ROLE:

  • Preparing civil engineering design work, from the conceptual level through to detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD / Civil3D
  • Performing design work in consultation with the Engineer of Record
  • Maintaining design files with necessary calculations and documentation
  • Preparing design reports, letters and technical memorandums
  • Performing on-site inspection duties

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 1-2 years of design experience in a civil consulting engineering environment
  • Completed Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an EIT with EGBC
  • Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and personal vehicle preferred
  • Previous hands-on experience working with AutoCAD or Civil3D
  • Strong written communication skills including technical report writing
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractors
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively in a team environment
  • Ability to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality in work
