The Position:



The Civil Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising various construction activities while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Planning and Development:

Develop project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to establish project goals and objectives.
Budget and Cost Management:

Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and controlling costs to avoid overruns. Estimating of change orders as required. Review and approve project invoices and payments.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure crews are aware of all standard and design requirements for the project. Conduct meetings with operations and/or foremen to get updates on schedule, share project information and address issues.
Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and work with operations and foremen on mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets. Manage extra work and change orders and assess their effects on the project scope and budget.
Communication and Reporting:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies regarding costing and high-level project coordination. Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress, challenges, and solutions.
Problem Solving:

Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Adapt project plans as necessary to meet changing conditions or requirements.

Qualifications:



Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction project management. Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field would be advantageous but is not required. Valid Class 5 or better driver's licence

Skills:



Strong work ethic, leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in MS Office and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam). Knowledge of BC construction methodologies, safety standards, and regulations.

Work Environment:



Primarily office-based but will require occasional travel for site assessments or client meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
