Civil Construction Labourer
Job Description
Attend and be engaged for pre and/or post meetings daily with the Superintendent/Foreman to gain full understanding of project and their daily and weekly goals. Heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, and outdoor and indoor work. Basic power tool use. General labourer duties. Excellent problem-solving skills. Good analytical ability and manual dexterity. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions. Assist the Pipe Layer in the installation of the pipes for the water and sewer division. Side tamp the sand around the pipe. Lube plastic pipe, assist in joining the pipe. Help with bedding, grading and moving sand/rock. Gets tools required for the installation of PVC Pipe and/or Cement Pipe. Responsible for lining up the concrete pipe with the connecting pipe. Operating vibrating and tamping equipment. Operating articulating dump truck on site. This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. Promotes, execute and adhere to the company\'s safety program and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
