Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques to deliver precise pricing and bid proposals. The Construction Estimator will be instrumental in supporting project management efforts and ensuring competitive, profitable bids.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms. Perform quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and risk assessments to ensure accurate bid submissions. Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules aligned with client requirements. Review project scope changes and update estimates accordingly throughout the bidding process. Support project management teams during contract negotiations and project planning phases. Maintain organized records of all estimating documents for future reference and audits.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects. Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and pricing strategies. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Familiarity with project management principles and tools is a plus. Prior experience in construction estimating combined with a solid understanding of industry standards is preferred.
