Job Summary:

VTEK Consultants Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Civil 3D Designer

to join our Civil and Structural Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality civil and utility design drawings and models. This role supports infrastructure and utility projects in the energy sector and is ideal a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Civil 3D and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and modify detailed civil engineering designs using

AutoCAD

and

Autodesk Civil 3D

. Produce precise

as built

and

construction drawings

for various energy projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards (mostly petrochemical). Perform stakeout calculations and generate accurate topographic profiles for preliminary design and planning. Create isometric and/or 3D drawings for piping systems, demonstrating a clear understanding of layouts and specifications. Apply knowledge of coordinate systems, projections, and transformations for accurate location positioning. Prepare plans, profiles, cross-sections, grading, and earthworks models. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all design projects, including revisions, specifications, and project notes. Oversee the quality of drawings and designs, ensuring they meet both internal and industry standards. Implement and maintain quality control protocols. Collaborate effectively with engineers, planners, and team members using

Microsoft Teams

. Update and revise existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.

Minimum 8 years

of experience in civil and utility design, preferably with Civil 3D. Proficiency in

AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D

. Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication in English (Written and Oral), French is a strong asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
