City Dispatcher / Load Booker

to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in coordinating local loads and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Position Summary

The Dispatcher / Load Booker will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and booking local freight within Ontario. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience building relationships with customers and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

Book and schedule daily loads for local Ontario deliveries. Dispatch drivers, provide instructions, and monitor progress. Communicate with customers and brokers to secure freight. Manage and update load boards and transportation systems. Resolve service issues quickly and effectively. Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies. Build strong relationships with drivers and external partners.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in dispatching or load booking (trucking / logistics preferred). Knowledge of Ontario routes and local freight market. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with load boards, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Team player with strong organizational skills.
